I was looking for a nice, relaxing spot sort of by the water, to take my boyfriend for his birthday. We came from Los Angeles to visit my family and decided to check this cafe out. Service is so great. We had the nicest waitress who informed us of one of the specials that day, breakfast skillet. And it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered salmon eggs Benedict and he loved it. Honestly, we have never had such good breakfast. It tasted to fresh and coffee was great! We will be coming back next time we visit!

Staff is friendly, the food was good. I had the banana nut french toast it was nice and moist not dry at all. Not too pricy.

My go to breakfast place. Great selection. AMAZING service...

Went this morning for breakfast. We were promptly seated and immediately, the "juice girl" came over to ask when we wanted to drink. We just sat down, I need a minute to get settled. Then about 30 seconds later, our server came over and asked again. We had not opened our menus yet. Kinda irritating. We then ordered, got our drinks and the food came out super fast. Food quality was so-so. Probably won't return.

Seating- We had to wait about 10 minutes for a party of 8 (2 kids) at 10am on a Sunday morning.....not bad! Service- great service, helps when coffee pot, pitcher of water, and carafe of diet coke are left at the table. ALL restaurants should do this!!!!!!! Food- I had the signature pancakes with eggs and sausage patties! Great! You can taste the quality of food by the amazing taste of the eggs, sausage and pancakes. I could eat this for lunch and dinner its so good! Environment- resort town feel, busy on the weekends, lots of parking available in November! I know this is a franchise but its amazing all around, better than Yolk!

It's a great place, worth a 10 minute wait. Strawberry jam, light and made every morning. Just bought a bottle to take home. Best Benedict I've had in a long time!!

The best breakfast restaurant ever! We have eaten here many times over the years - and this past week on our vacation we have excellent service and food. They have a great gluten free menu and altered their Italian french toast to be gluten free for me as well. My husband always asked for extra grilled sausage patties and received them without any issues. One day I requested the gf toast with a piece of cheddar on one slice and jack cheese on the other for my egg sandwich - no request was denied. The new gf frittata is awesome, so is the french omelet. My son loved their large waffle and the bacon is delicious. (I wish their egg salad was gf!)

Love this breakfast place! I have eaten here a couple of times and always try something different but everything is delicious I have never been let down, and the customer service is always amazing!!

Friendly service from the moment we walked in, at our table, and even when we were leaving. And, the food was delicious. I had a bacado (bacon and avocado) omelet that came with homestyle potatoes and an English muffin with homemade strawberry jam. My husband had a great eggs Benedict. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and the coffee came in charming mugs that could be purchased as a souvenir. And the prices were very reasonable. ($26/2 people). We loved it and would definitely go back.

The strawberry jam is the best I've ever had. They also give you a to-go cup for your soda, which is a little thing I really appreciate. The food is always great. I highly recommend it.

Overall: everything you could want in a quality breakfast brunch lunch place. Good food, good prices, good service. No complaints what so ever. The good: good food with a lot of options. A lot of healthy options too. There is something for everyone to pick from. It came out quickly too and the service was fine. Cool homey atmosphere with some interesting art. Pretty reasonable prices. Even get coffee to go! The bad: it looks like it can get super busy. Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Food: 9/10

I really like this place. The selection is large. The kids breakfast items are insane and awesome. For example, my son had two pancakes with chocolate chip candy in it, 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage, fresh squeezed OJ, all for around 5 bucks. We went on a Saturday in March (not exactly high tourist season in Lake Geneva) and there was a long wait, but it was worth it. You can help yourself to coffee while you wait and they ask you if you want a "to go" cup when you leave. They also offer a flavored coffee which I like. Definitely go and try to get there early to avoid the wait!

Very good breakfast fare along Main St. in LG. For the longest time it was just your standards: eggs, bacon, pancakes ... the norm. But they've picked it up a bit recently with their Greek Yogurt oatmeal, which is great. Expect a line, so go as early as possible. 225/365

Small and cozy place with a wide menu. Don't miss this one when you are visiting Lake Geneva.

Absolutely nothing bad about this place. Good food good atmosphere and great staff! If your getting breakfast in lake geneva make this where you go and you wont be disappointed its a personal favorite of mine! The Key west crapes are to die for.

Delicious! The banana bread French toast was so good. The kid's menu had a lot of variety and the portions were large (perfect for my 2 bottomless pit kids) The "fresh squeezed orange juice" came straight out of a Simply Orange container so that took away some of the allure of it but overall good and we will go back.

With the reviews this joint had, my hopes were high. Maybe too high. Service makes and breaks experiences for me and I was not impressed this morning. The staff seemed to have no self awareness. They were constantly standing in the middle of high volume areas, blocking guests. Had this been customers, I would be irritated, but it would not affect my review. Our server could not remember who ordered what, and there were only 3 of us. Maybe he was new, but a little note goes a long way in your customers' eyes. My eggs were good. As a vegetarian, I was irked that I did not have the option to put some cheese on my eggs in lieu of the meat that came with my meal, but the tomato slices were fresh. Lastly, my french toast was cinnamon when I ordered regular. Overall, just wasn't impressed. Which was disappointing.

This was a cute little place that my wife and I wanted to try out. When you walk in your amazed at how spacious the place is. The person that seated us was very nice and we were sat very quickly. Our waitress comes over and she is super polite and nice. We ordered our drinks and looked at the menu. Since this was our first time here we asked what she recommended. She gave us a few more minutes to look over the menu. She comes back and we place our order. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of the thick bacon, potatoes, pickles and coffee. I ordered the create your own skillet with sausage and ham, with a over-medium egg and it came with banana bread french toast. While waiting for our food we looked around the restaurant, amazed at how cute it was. Then we got our food. I will choose my words very carefully in saying this but we will never eat here again. Service was great, was a bad day for the food. My potatoes seemed like they were freezer burnt because they were for the most part inedible. Egg was perfect I might add though. My wife's biscuits and gravy were awful as well. The biscuits were old, the sausage gravy seemed to have sausage just tossed in it and not made from scratch. They were very gracious when I made my complaint. Might have been an off day but they will never get my business again.

Egg harbor is my all time favorite brunch spot! I always get a cup of the chicken and rice soup (so delicious! ) and I love the homemade jam and strawberry orange juice! The pancakes are fluffy and my favorite thing there are the harbor potatoes! I do not know what makes this little cut up potatoes so delicious, but I always order some with my food and some to go! It is always busy except when we go closer to the afternoon, but the service is always exceptional.

We ate here every morning for breakfast. My guy, he likes routines sometimes. Finds a spot he likes and sticks with it. But that's fine, Egg Harbor was good every day. Service is good, nice, pleasant, efficient. So weird that they drop a little basket of napkins on the table at the end of the meal, but ok, whatever. It's a chain but didn't feel too chain-y. Food is pretty decent, nothing super over the top or fancy. As with every eating establishment here in Lake Geneva, food prices are higher than expected, but the food is complaint-free. The menu is large, so you're bound to find something for anyone. Our breakfast hour is typically later than most normal people so we had no problems walking in and getting sat right away. During the week, I should mention. We weren't there on a weekend morning. Anywhooo, yeah, good to go, eat here.

Ive been to a few of these and they are always quality, had the cobb salad minus cheese, was wondering where the bacon was as the standard cobb is egg, blue cheese, bacon and more, no egg (i'm allergic anyways) and no cheese due to my allergy and the meal was still delicious, light, and flavorful. My wife ordered the black bean chili which was yummy and the 1/2 soup and salad with the harvest salad which all was good. The reason they didn't get 5 stars is due to the missing bacon on the cobb salad, I had to add the cherrywood bacon (3 pieces) for $4.49, expensive considering we are in Wisconsin, home of the affordable cheese and bacon! They serve Intelligentsia coffee, which is the ultimate coffee, and gave us a nice large to-go cup, great service just add bacon to the cobb salad and its 5 stars!

I did not think this was going to be anything special. Boy was I wrong! Free coffee in the waiting area. Carafes of ice water on the table. Home made jam. Fluffy eggs. A+++

I've been here twice. Once last year with my boyfriend during our Valentine's Day getaway and brought my sister when she was visiting from California. I love this breakfast place, too bad I live in Chicago and can't go often but it is my go to breakfast spot in Lake Geneva.

  • Li L.

I don't have any complaints about this place except for Everytime I add stuff to my scrambler it's skimpy. I even added double and it still looked like nothing. The service is always nice and the restaurant is always clean and it's nice to be in.

A true favorite for my family! The servers and managers know us by name and are extremely accommodating for special requests. They also offer to-go cups for iced tea when you are finished which is a really nice touch. Exceptional staff and great food!

Great food. Staff was very friendly and seating was great. Get a window seat and you can people watch in downtown Lake Geneva. Everything is walking distance from this place so park and take a few hours to walk around.

Being away from Lake Geneva for so many years, the wife and I finally made it up there last weekend. Besides realizing that it's a great place to be and that we've should if made three trip sooner, we had asked some locals where the best place was to have breakfast and that all said to go to Egg Harbor. If you're looking for an early morning restaurant where the staff will treat you right, the pancakes are hot and fluffy, and even the customers seem to make you feel like you're at a place where you belong, then you will not be disappointed with Egg Harbor of Lake Geneva! On a side note, if your looking for a souvenir other than a cheap magnet or whatever nick-nack that you'll regret wasting your money on later, get one of their American made Egg Harbor coffee mugs. I just so happened to buy one, but, like an idiot, I forgot to take it with me. I called the next day, talked to the manager and she sent it to me home the next day! I can't say enough about Egg Harbor in Lake Geneva, WI. Great place, great food, great experience!

This is the only breakfast place I go when on the LG area as it reminds me of Chicago and when I was growing up eating at the Illinois locations with my parents. Service is generally solid and food turn is decent. Menu offers a lot of options and can cater to anyone in your group.

It's not easy eating gluten-free in Lake Geneva but...Egg Harbor Café saves the day! With their separate gluten-free menu and their knowledgeable and helpful staff, you can eat gluten-free here with peace of mind. Came in on a busy weekend to order some takeout. Even though they were very busy, the service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They took extra care in labeling my ticket gluten-free, went back to the kitchen to ask them prepare my food separately to avoid cross-contamination and she kept me up to date on the progress of my order. Thoroughly impressed! Their GF menu has a ton of great breakfast and lunch options. Choose from gluten-free pancakes, omelets, skillets, scramblers, sandwiches, burgers and salads. I ordered the Gourmet Burger and it was DELICIOUS; a large patty of juicy ground beef with a surprisingly non-stale gluten-free bun. I had a side of the Harbor Potatoes and they were delicious as well - perfectly seasoned and crispy - even though I took them to go. Note: they close at 2PM! I will most definitely come back here whenever in Lake Geneva again!

Huge menu! We had to keep telling the waitress we needed a few more minutes since there were so many yummy sounding options and some great sounding specials - Funfetti French Toast anyone?!? The BF and I finally split the Lobster Melt and Cassie's Crepes. The crepes were okay and came with a side salad which was nice. The lobster melt was amazing! I would definitely recommend it. Our waitress was great - friendly and helpful. She made sure our drinks were always full and even offered us some drinks to go once she found out we were heading home to Chicago after breakfast. Definitely ask for the homemade strawberry jelly if they don't bring it out to you!

The gluten-free cinnamon bun was so good I nearly cried. Once you can no longer eat delicious gluten, when you find a baked good or pastry that's as good if not better than the glutenous glories of days past, it's a special thing. Everything else was top-notch too...pleasant staff, pleasant and cheery ambiance, decent prices, good coffee.

I ducked in here on a Sunday after spending the night in town for a race. By some stroke of luck, we were seated immediately. Our waitress wasn't as expedient, though. She forgot menus, and when she brought them, we were two short. The food was delicious and standard to the chain, but it hit the spot. I love that they serve you your own pot of coffee - genius. I ordered the banana bread french toast, which came with sliced naners on top. I am a self professed banana freak, so this made my day. I had leftovers and enjoy plenty of coffee, but we were certainly given the bum rush to get out. Our waitress dropped off the check before we ever finished eating, which is annoying as hell. It was just kind of meh - decent food, great price, standard atmosphere and below-average service. There are so many other options in the area that I'd rather try, so I probably won't be back. But if you want a fairly fast breakfast that's bound to have familiar favorites, this will fit the bill.

This is by far the best place for breakfast in the Lake Geneva area. You will have to wait for a table but it is worth the wait...the Blueberry pancakes are out-of-this-world. My husband and I were there on 11/1 and the food and service were great...only complaint that I have is that they sat us at a booth and we were very tight on the space -

    (5)
  • Rhiannon G.

One of the best breakfast places I've ever been too! The food here is delicious and fresh and the staff is very friendly and attentive! My favorite part is you get a proper serving of bacon as a side and not two little wimpy strips like a lot of other places. Definitely a must if you're in Lake Geneva!

  • Matt T.

Came here for breakfast while on a Wisconsin road trip with the girlfriend. I came away impressed with my first visit! Ordered the Harbor Wheat Pancakes along with the Harbor potatoes which was delicious!! My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Sausage & Goat Cheese Scrambler with a side of Pumpkin Pancakes, which she enjoyed very much! There are locations closer to me so i'll definitely be coming back for future visits.

The menu is delightful and the strawberry OJ is quite refreshing. Very prompt service and the atmosphere is quaint and pleasant. It is very busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait for a table.

    (5)
  • Jenn D.

Very cute location and on Main Street. You have PLENTY of options and the food was delicious. The only this was that there was an extremely long wait. I don't recommend the outdoor/patio seating - it's just an added concrete floor that looks out to the back parking lot. Just eat inside! Plus the wait won't be as long.

Stopped in for breakfast one day on a whim, was glad I did. A bit pricey, but nothing major. Great food!

  • Judie D.

Excellent breakfast, super-friendly staff! Great experience! Could have sat there all morning and drank coffee while watching the rain come down on a very chilly August morning and I think they would have just kept refilling the pot. Such a great place.

  • Orson F.

Excellent service. Well kept facility. The omelette sand kids meals were very tasty and promptly served. We were fortunate that it was not busy. All in all it was a good experience.

We are regulars at the Egg Harbor in Lombard, and this location ain't no Lombard. The menu is the same, but I was far less impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered a skillet with bacon and onion. The skillet itself was fine, but the English muffin that came with it was completely doused on butter. I guess this is Wisconsin, and they do love their dairy here, but it was a bit much for me. They also forgot to bring the homemade jelly to the table. When they did bring it, it was a rather flavorless strawberry. I do want to add that the service was polite and quick. We were in and out in 40 minutes, which was fantastic. All in all, it was a decent breakfast. If the crowds aren't too bad, it's worth a visit.

    (3)
  • Betty M.

It was a 30 minute wait, but well worth it! Food and service was excellent! No one in our party was disappointed! Cream of chicken with wild rice and Malibu chicken were excellent! I would definitely recommend going here!

Great food, service and endless coffee. Even have almond milk for those who can't have regular dairy.

  • Sadie T.

Enjoyable experience. This is a chain much like the Original Pancake House. Lots of menu variety, boarderline too much variety. Very busy place, though, so they must be able to keep the ingredients fresh. They do make accommodations (including a separate menu) for those going gluten-free, but all the options were egg dishes. They do substitute in a cup of fresh fruit for the bread, which was nice. This place is not vegan friendly other than salads. The scrambler I had (a "create your own") was very good. I would have liked more cheese. The side potatoes were delicious! The french vanilla coffee was weak but the regular coffee was good. Fine service.

  • Elina K.

It ain't Walker Brothers!!! But it's aight. I guess I don't really "appreciate" the homemade strawberry jam (looked and tasted pale and blah) or their special juices or famous scramblers. I got a really runny poached egg, packaged cream cheese and mixed berry jelly for my bagel. I mean, whatever. It's a good breakfast choice for the area but failed to impress me, just like the Egg Harbors in IL. Gets busy early so come before 9am if possible. Oh, the mugs are really cute.

been to 4 of the egg harbor restaurants. this one was in lake Geneva. crowded which is good. got a table right away ordered green iced tea, which they didn't have no problem had a regular. blueberry pancakes turkey sausage. pancakes barley had any blueberries and sausage were patties (which I wasn't expecting usually have links. They were terribly dry and were probably cooked a long time before i ordered them.I mentioned to manager on way out they asked if I had patties or links. I said I wasn't offered links but I would of ordered links if I was told they had them Oh well server error Barrington Is still the best egg harbor hands down!! I wont go back to this one

A great little breakfast place. Decor is not quite my taste, but the amazing banana bread french toast made up for it.

  • Emily C.

Very good breakfast option in LG. Everything I've had there has been good (recently had the greek yogurt oatmeal, which was great!), but there is always a wait so go early. They also offer a to go cup of coffee which I thought was very nice and unexpected. 173/365

Five stars for the Door County Melt! We almost walked by this gem. From the outside it appears very plain, but luckily I checked my YELP! Every bite of this delicious sandwich was simply a treat! The blend is like nothing I have ever tasted before. Even the potato pancakes had a wonderful taste! The coffee was amazing! We will definitely be going back. Now I know why this place was Packed when we walked in. I can't wait to try other items on the menu.

We are from Chicago and this was our second time to this restaurant since our last trip to Lake Geneva, we were so impressed from the first time we came we just had to come again! Not only are the servers very friendly and kind but the food is just amazing! You can tell it is freshly made and not reheated or anything like that. I got a BBQ chicken salad which not only was huge but so delicious too, my boyfriend got blueberry pancakes with a egg scrambler and fruit and my daughter got the kids French toast with sausage. We all left quite happy and full! If you are in the Lake Geneva area for breakfast or lunch this is the place to go!

Very nice place to have breakfast in Lake Geneva. In fact we had brunch and that too after skipping the inn's free breakfast because we wanted some extra sleep. Even in this chilling cold weather, the cute little town was crowded and so was the cafe. We waited 15 minutes inside to get seated, but it was worth the wait. Everything was very organized with waiting chairs, lighted pagers all ready. Interiors looked very good for a breakfast place. We ordered a Geneva Rosti and San Antonio Skillet and both dishes were amazing. Waitresses provided great service as well. Will definitely visit this place when I visit Lake Geneva next time.

So many 5 star reviews... hmm... I'm confused. The menu is extensive for sure.. the descriptions make everything sound mouth-watering delicious. I ordered the Veggie skillet with poached eggs. There was about a paragraph description of the veggie goodness. Well - It was just a skillet. Nothing special whatsoever. I feel like the marketing team does a great job at making the place seem like your hometown, local neighborhood diner... but in fact the food is that of which you'd expect at any Denny's or the such. It certainly doesn't live up to the "in your face" advertising.

  • Jennifer C.

Lots of choices and the the staff was very nice. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the food was bland flavorless and I tried 2 dishes. The first was stale tortilla chip chilaquiles. And although the salsa was good it's just not a place to get a Mexican dish. I hoped the cheese omelette would be better but there was no cheese in it. Just cold hard cheese on top. It's nice to try new things but I won't be back here.

Food is good, service is good. Special Italian French toast was deliciously described but came out a little dry; not enough compote. I needed something to remove the dryness so I asked for maple syrup. Had to pay $2 for the little jar of syrup which was disappointing. The side of bacon was the best. Thick and tasty as advertised.

  • Rebecca H.

Food: Pretty good, got an egg salad sandwich that was delicious. Service: Very agreeable waitress, suggested good coffee and dishes. Waaaaaaaaaay too much chicken memorabilia, ok I get it, the name is Egg Harbor, chickens are key, don't rub it in. The only complaint- I hate it when servers bring the check right after I get my food. HATE IT. Even if you say "no rush", its still bad form. Hence the minus one star

Good place for your breakfast/brunch. Avoid the other "diners" in town. Nice friendly staff. Charming atmosphere. The eggs benedict dishes are tasty. Always have more than enough food. But not any to take home. just right. Would go back again.

This place was great! We had 10 ladies for breakfast here before heading back to Chicago. On a busy Sunday morning we only had to wait 20 minutes for a table and the buzzer they gave us has a one block radius so we just took it with us as we shopped for souvenirs. The specials sounded delicious (a super sweet sounding stuffed french toast and a lobster and asparagus scrabble). None of us ordered the special because there was definitely enough to choose from off the regular menu. Everyone's food came out quickly and we all had just the right amount of food, definitely big comfort food -type portions but not so much that food was wasted or ridiculous portions that had to be served on several plates per person. each of us were satisfied with what we ordered while oooing over the person next us. The real reason I loved this place though....they serve Intelligensia coffee (you can even pour yourself some while you're waiting for your table). Done and done!

We went on a Sunday morning around 11:30 and the place was, as expected, packed! I recommend calling ahead to expedite the wait. We did and it worked out wonderfully. The service was fantastic, before and after a minor snafu. Our server was very familiar with the menu, and helped my wife and I decide what to order after providing her with a few options for each of us. My wife opted for a Chicken Pesto Scrambler and I had a skillet with chorizo, jalapeños, and bacon. The name eludes me now, but both were delicious. The server left a carafe of coffee at the table for me and a bee house of tea for my wife. The food was brought by a server other than ours and we promptly dug in, enjoying both of our meals. About half way through we stopped our server to ask about my wife's scrambler, as she had unexpectedly found a piece of sausage in it. She took off and a few minutes later returned with a new meal and the other server. They explained the server had grabbed the wrong meal originally and delivered it to my wife. It wasn't a huge deal for us as my wife enjoyed the first meal, as well as the original scrambler. We wound up taking the majority of the second meal, minus a few bites, home. When we were about to leave they offered us to go cups for our coffee and tea. Providing more hot water for my wife's loose leaf tea and cream for my coffee. We definitely plan to come back the next time we're in the area. We picked up a souvenir coffee mug as well. Oh and the homemade strawberry jam is delicious.

I've always been an Egg Harbor fan of the Naperville, Ill. location and the Lake Geneva location is no egg-ception. Wow ... full o' cheese! My friend and I indulged on their lobster frittata special of the day and heaping cups of piping hot tea on a very cold day. Service, as usual, was quick and attentive.

I usually enjoy their breakfast however when they make a mistake even for a regular customer like myself they don't seem to care. For example the hollandaise has basil in it however the sauce I received had so much it was inedible the hostess comment was that's how we make it. Time to find a new place!

Four stars for the food. I came here on a cool June Tuesday morn, planning to read a book and enjoy some breakfast. I enjoyed the quiet lovely atmosphere so much I never even cracked open the book. I had the Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict (minus the bacon) which comes with a side of cheese grits. I would have preferred a little less red pepper, but it was very good and the grits were piping hot. I also had the strawberry pomegranate lemonade which was sugary perfection. So why five stars? The service. The waiter was friendly (sincerely so) and checked on me a few minutes after I began eating, which seems to be a lost art these days. But what really made me give the extra star is that when he noticed I was lingering to finish my lemonade, he gave me a fresh new cup to go (and no, he wasn't trying to get rid of me, there were plenty of extra tables). Definitely a good breakfast choice in Lake Geneva.

We go to the Egg Harbor in Libertyville a lot and found this one on par with it. We were greeted immediately and seated promptly. Mourn waitress was prompt and efficient. When ordering the egge Benedict I asked for it without the muffin. Mi told her I have to be gluten free and I'm allergic,. She understood and said shed write it up as an allergy on the ticket. I also ordered the corned beef hash. When she cam back with our drinks she informed me she checked and the hash was gluten fee also. Great food as always, just a little slower service than normal.

We have frequented Egg Harbor Cafés in several locations. Our latest experience on Sunday, January19 was very disappointing. the meal was average at best, the muffins were rock hard, and the place is uncomfortably noisy and over crowded. I believe the quality of the food has diminished considerably due to the busyness and the push to get people in and out as soon as possible. My suggestion is take a good look at the product being offered and learn from your observations.

What is it about small towns and breakfast?! They always know how to hit that spot where you're so content that you're not sure whether to go back to bed for a nice nap or start your now bright and shiny day. Egg Harbor is such a place, from it's outstanding comfort breakfast foods to the smiling staff. What I love is that this is clearly the place to go in the morning but I've never had to wait for a table. You can't go wrong here!

Excellent breakfast if you don't mind fighting the lake Geneva yuppies during the summer just to get a table. Try the banana bread French toast its spectacular!

For those who don't know - Egg Harbor is a breakfast/lunch place only - they close before dinner. Everything I've had here has been good - many different pankcake options (regular, blueberry, blackberry-banana), French toast, egg dishes galore. The harbor potatoes that come with most dishes (get the square Harbor potatoes instead of the shredded hash browns) are about as tasty as any potatoes I've ever eaten. You can get either lunch or dinner menu items whenever you eat here. I love the chicken wrap....with Harbor potatoes! There's some very tempting options off the lunch menu that make it tough to decide whether you should have breakfast or lunch. Either way, you're not likely to go wrong.. You'll never wait for water or coffee refills here - they smartly put pitchers of water on each table as well as a pot of coffee if anyone is having some. Expect a short wait on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Watch out for the strolling juice guys/gals that come to your table - the juice isn't complimentary - it's good but - a lot cheaper at the supermarket. Willingness to sit on a nice enclosed, conditioned, rear patio area is a good option and often speeds up or eliminates a wait for a table. Great service. Prices are reasonable for what you get - figure on $8-$12 a head with a beverage and tip.

We love Egg Harbor! It's our "go to" breakfast place in Lake Geneva. The food is always good, the atmosphere is great. Even more than that, their staff is always friendly, helpful and conversational! They make you feel like your business is really important to them. That's why we keep going back!

The perfect place for breakfast or lunch when you want really good food, relatively inexpensively, and you want to get in and out. Not too fancy, and not too much a dive. Right in the sweet spot. They have a very large delicious menu to choose from. Service was quick. When we visit Lake Geneva, this will definitely be a must go to for one of our breakfasts or lunches. Loved the homemade strawberry lemonade, a must. Banana French Toast was delish as well. Paired it with scrambled and sausage (which was great...links without the skin). Also be sure to try their seasoned potatoes. Not just a hash brown throw in like most places. I could have eaten just a plate of that.

The best breakfast place in Lake Geneva and good for lunch too. We've eaten here and dozen times now and haven't had a bad meal yet. A visit to Lake Geneva doesn't seem complete anymore without a meal here. It's name is of a city on the way to Door County, and it does seem odd to have one resort city with a restaurant named after another, They carry out the egg theme with lots of rooster and hen pictures.

A typical breakfast place. Everything was good. The strawberry jam was sooo good! Love that I got my own coffee mug and carafe. I will come back next time we come to lake geneva.

We come to Egg Harbor Cafe every time we come to Lake Geneva. Typically the food is excellent and service very attentive and friendly. Today was an exception. My 2 year old is very finicky, so we asked our first waitress (serving us on the back patio) if we can substitute a an item off the kids menu and she said we will make it work. We switched tables because a table opened up inside the restaurant where it was cooler and asked our waitress the same question if we can substitute because of our daughters eating habits and she said she will have to check. Right after the second waitress left to follow-up with our question, my wife went to the bathroom and was passing by the kitchen where she overheard our waitress complaining to the kitchen staff that we want to make substitutions for our child. At this point we were thinking of leaving, but didn't want this one instance ruin our overall experience and we wanted our family (which was their first time there) to experience why we keep coming back to Egg Harbor Cafe. We love the place, but just want to make the staff aware, that you never know when someone is listening, especially a customer.

Cute country decor in Egg Harbor. Very clean. This is a large place that can handle large crowds. Chicken salad was huge and delicious. Coffee pots are left on tables and carafes with cold water too and I found that very convenient. I loved their coffee mugs. You can buy them if you like. This is a well managed place. Everybody is friendly and professional. I highly recommend this Cafe.

I got in my car on a Sunday morning, seeking eggs, and I ended up here. So apparently I was also seeking a day in the country, too. Egg Harbor was busy on a Sunday morn, which was no surprise. The placw is pretty largw with two rooms, but not much of a waiting area. I was in after 25 minutes. Menu, water and a carafe of coffee comes quickly. Friendly service and a nice extensive breakfast menu with eggs, waffles, pancakes, skillets, crepes and fritattas. I ordered the item which first jumped out at me: Lobster Eggs Benedict. Probably should have known this was not the place to get same. It was overall pretty disappointing with rubbery little muffins, meager cakes which may or may not have had lobster (seemed more like crab meat.) Accompanied by a handful of good skillet potatoes, the large plate begged for a complement of fruit or something. I was very hungry by 11:30 am for BIG breakfast, and this did not cut it, Based upon a cost of around $14 with coffee and less tip. I think when I return I will try something like a skillet. But I ain't waitin' in line again, as long as there are other choices close by.

It was my first time going to Egg Harbor Cafe today, but I had heard a lot of good things about it from friends though. We're big fans of Eggs Benedict and had high hopes for them from here. I got their "Barrington Benedict" and he got the corned beef hash version Benedict. Food came out speedily, but for the price ($9 each) and the reputation, I was expecting more. First, the Hollandaise sauce had almost no taste. Second, there was only enough to neatly cover the egg on each muffin, not enough to dip the dry and barely toasted muffins themselves in. There was very little corned beef hash on that version of the dish, just a small dollop in the middle of the muffin and it was the canned/premade stuff at that (canned is fine, but I know that that stuff isn't so expensive that you have to be really skimpy on it). The Benedicts came with a side of potatoes, but even they were pretty small portions. Waitress seemed in a hurry to push us out, leaving the check when we got our dishes-I know the place was crowded (it was around noon on a Saturday), but that's a tactic more commonly seen at a lower rate National chain and not an upscale cafe. I might go back, but I'd order something else.

Yummy! The food comes in decent size portions so you won't leave hungry and the lemonades are great. Our waitress even gave us a to-go cup to carry our lemonade as we left. So nice! Service is great, food is great. The pancakes are awesome and you can customize orders however you like it. I definitely recommend going here!

Ok our first mistake...going on a weekend..we should have known better as we were once living in Williams Bay, and knowing what a ZOO it is in downtown lake geneva on a weekend! However, we wanted to try something new. So we went and it was CROWDED! we wiated a very long time for our table! We could have chosen the patio but it was 100 degrees outside and people had their kids out there crying in the heat..NO thanks! We ordered, the menu, although interesting, had way to many cranberries and walnuts on everything..If I wanted fruit on my sandwich..well i would just have the fruit..no need for the bun right? The waitress was friendly and pleasant. we asked for her the second time we went( long story) the food came, it was good. The bus boy flew by and left all the wrappers and napkins on his tray on our table.(It flew right off onto our stuff..he didnt even pause) Then as we were leaving the bus boy pushed me aside..literally..to get the table cleaned. By then my hubby was having a meltdown and we complained..We were really suprised at the bus boys behavior. The managment was excellent! They were thoughtful, apologetic and worked happily to solve the situation. They gave us a gift card and we went back very leary of the place..We had a VERY nice time the second time..Check it out..This is not a burger type place..alot of healthy food fare

Extensive breakfast menu, including some fantastic seasonal specials. I can't imagine anyone NOT finding something that sounds perfect to them at this cafe. The strawberry orange juice is wonderful. The service we received (9:00 on a Thursday morning) was perfect. My only complaint was that they substituted canned black olives for the kalamata olives that were supposed to be in the Athens omelette. I would rather have been told that they were out of kalamatas, and given the option to order something else. Still, the omelette was fluffy and delicous.

Banana bread French toast. That is all you need to know. Rather large menu, skip it all and order the banana bread French toast. Your welcome.

Great breakfast. Got the seasonal pumpkin pancakes. They could have had more pumpkin flavor, but overall delicious. The eggs were a little salty. Great service. Gave me a free coffee to go. Tasty place to eat.

This place was great! We went on a Saturday morning, walked in and were seated right away. Great service, extremely fast...but not in a rushed way. Amazing food. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant. The best part a pitcher of water was on the table so we didn't have ask for any or refills and the coffee pot was also left on the table for refills. Best part!!! Was offered a to go cup of coffee for free! Would totally go back.

We visited Egg Harbor for the first time on a Wednesday around 12:30 pm. They only had immediate seating in the closed in patio out back so we took it, as we were on a somewhat short hour time frame. We were seated and it was really hot with the heater on! The hostess turned the heat down which we were thankful for (and I'm one that gets cold easily). A guy dropped off a whole pitcher of water and we had to fill our own glasses. Okay. We sat there for at least 15 minutes waiting on a server to come to us while going to the other two tables out there but never to ours. Flies were buzzing around our table out there, driving us nuts, and the other table had a lady at it with her tiny dog. Interesting... After the lack of service I went in to the hostess and told her no one had helped us yet. She apologized sincerely and I asked if we could please be seated inside. She moved us immediately and a few minutes later we finally had service. The decor is cute and cozy with eggs and chickens everywhere. Comfy country style. I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast. It was SO sweet! Good but way too sweet. My boyfriend ordered the Big Texan. It was eggs, toast, cheese, gravy, and hashbrowns all in one skillet. It was okay as well. The place was nice and might return if we ever visit the area again as long as we have plenty of time, but a little bit of a let down after all of the advertising for this place.

Great little breakfast spot. Large menu will have something sure to please everyone in your party - picky eaters included. Good for kids. Fair prices and good portions. Good service too. Free cup of coffee to go was a nice touch.

This brunch spot never disappoints. There are several Egg Harbor locations that I have visited and this one is definitely on par with the others. My favorite dish is the cinnamon roll french toast - it is to die for. The only recommendation I would provide is arrive early or you could be waiting up to 30 minutes for a table around 10:30 am. Egg Harbor should also look into providing coffee espresso drinks. Their coffee is average.

The strawberry OJ is terrific. Great menu, only problem is trying to narrow it down to one thing to order. The service was impeccable. I am definitely looking forward to a return visit.

Nothing beats finding a great breakfast place on the road, and Egg Harbor Cafe really came through for me and my friends. The fresh strawberry-orange juice was unexpected, delicious, and invigorating. My special lobster omelette was succulent. The staff was friendly and attentive. Good coffee. Everyone in my party was happy. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely going back to Egg Harbor Cafe.

Wow! Breakfast has not been this good in a while. The cinnamon role French Toast was amazing. The scrambled eggs were perfect and simple and the bacon wasn't too fatty. Two thumbs up! If back in Geneva I will be back.

One of the best breakfast spots that I have tried. Their red velvet cake french toast was divine! We loved it so much that we ordered seconds! We had 4 adults and everyone loved what they ordered, whether sweet or savory. Cute chicken-themed decor. The four stars is for the service. We were not impressed. In fact, we were sort of put off. The hostess did not acknowledge us initially, and when she did, it was not warm. Our server was neutral. Neither overly nice or overly rude. Despite that, we would return in a heartbeat. Loved the food.

Though I'll never figure out why Lake Geneva can't quite nail good restaurants- Egg Harbor is a great little breakfast/lunch spot that's worth the visit when you're in town. We stopped for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The wait went by quickly, and the atomosphere was clean and bright. It was nice to have a pitcher of water and glasses already at the table for us. I ordered the peppermint hot chocolate, which came in a cute little glass mug with TONS of whipped cream on top, and my husband ordered coffee- which came in a mini carafe for the table. We ordered breakfast (biscuits and gravy for myself, and a mexican omelet for my other half). The food came within a typical wait time for a busy morning- and the portions will not dissapoint! The sausage gravy was excellent- with tons of extra sausage chunks in it. We were offered a to go cup for the extra coffee, and the bill was extremely decent for the food we got. Overall, I would definetely recommend a stop at Egg Harbor- i know we'll be back soon!

"Orange Juice with Strawberries?!?!?!?!!!!?!!" I asked. And as I ask, I thought to myself.....How the hell did I not come up with that combo? If deliciousness had a hot older sister, her name would be Strawberry OJ. Ok, now on to the food. My lovely lady had the Tuscan Grill. It tasted like a light and refreshing margherita pizza (with artichoke hearts). I had the Chicken with carmalized onions, brie and bacon (wrap). 1st off all, the bacon was not strips of chewy soggy bacon, but squared chunks of crispy bacon. But we're not finito. Both of our dishes came with a lovely green salad with a light creamy poppyseed vinagrette.....nummy! It also came with, what I swear is, the best potatoes I have ever tasted at a breakfast joint. The had the perfect flavor, topped with chives, and they felt like pillows in your mouth. So smooth and fluffy. I didn't even ruin them with ketchup or mayo. If you are vacay'ing it up in Lake Geneva, passing through, or are driving distance......just remember: Egg Harbor Cafe is the place to bay!

Egg Harbor offers wonderful food, great atmosphere and excellent service. I was there for lunch and had an excellent experience. My server, Kim, was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to know how their two kinds of chili was and she brought out samples for me to taste. Needless to say, I did order the black bean chili which was wonderful. I would definitely order it again. Definitely a place to frequent!

They have the nicest service - examples: gladly giving change for the parking meters, letting your party be seated before all members are present even at the busiest times, call-ahead seating list, letting you linger even at busiest times, allowing substitutions. Their menu is delicious, extensive and hearty! Fresh ingredients and unique entrees. I recently had the special pumpkin/pecan pancakes with bacon and their side of bacon was 5 rashers, not the usual 2. Very good. My party was totally pleased with their food, service, cute decor and prices.
